Congrats Shaista - your poem deserves it!
Not a single time have I read "The Year of Yes" and not felt a sob at the end. Sometimes just a soft one, but a catch of recognition - truth, love, depth. So glad I found you.
xoxo
Absolutely a gem of a poem. Many thanks and I think you thoroughly deserved that acknowledgement.
Greetings from London.
I would like to start my Year of good Yes. Thank you Shaista.
Beautiful and powerful prayer, Shaista. I'm whispering a little one for you today.
And because of Ruth I was also able to read your poem.
It is beautiful.
My oldest daughter also has lupus, I understand.
Renee xoxo

Thanks for following. :)
I hope you are well today dear one.

Its so amazing to read this poem, understand where you may be coming from and yet see our own reflection in these words. They speak both of love and pain, almost a thread of underlying despair in our efforts.
Please keep writing.
You writing deserves to illuminate so many beautiful places. Your words never fail to cut to the bone, but the light that shines from them is so pure and warm. OX
Shaista my dear,
Your words always touch me to the quick. Yes, a full moon.
I am wondering how you are? better? fighting? keep fighting dear girl. When I read your words and see glimpses of you, my heart almost stops.
I just happened across your blog and am so glad that I did. Your work is lovely. Congratulations on the recognition, it was well deserved.
