Ma

At the worst, the very worst
You are there
When the mirror breaks
and my heart,
You ache
and your aching
heals me.

When I can never be right
and my scars illuminate
You perceive me
perfect and whole.

No words.

There are no words.
Only time, passing,
and Love,
that ever presence,
holding us close.

- Shaista

Maaaaaaaa!!!!!!!
Happy Mother's Day, beautiful, talented Perveen - the one who makes it all possible.

With you, every day is Mother's Day :)

  7. and how beautiful your mother is -inside and outside!
I chuckled, because the Maaaa!!! is what my son does too on the phone, when he thinks the world is coming to an end:)

  8. I love this connection to her, that she is salve to your wounds. It is as it should be, yet not as I know. But your truth in it makes me happy.

  10. First, I love Maaaaaaa! - the name, and her via you.

Second, I remember my ma's heart aching with mine. And now mine aches when my daughter's (or son's) aches. This is a precious gift.

(And I ache with you too.)
