and soon you find yourself
at the end (the seeming end,
really, just another beginning:
another airport, another birthday,
Easter, Christmas, New Year).
And still the feeling
of leaving something behind,
but tripping ahead anyway;
each day, each month
a further clue, on this
treasure hunt we call life.
Arts and Crafts Corners brought me great joy over Christmas... this one a very reminding spot in the house, even after two of my nieces have tripped across the oceans back to school and friends. The children of my life come and go, I visit and leave... but small creations remain as memory).

Oh my goodness, how I love this entire post! LOVE the nieces' art! LOVE the crafty corner, love your little birds, and so know the feeling of arrivals, departures, as the months zoom by. I think my favourite drawing is of the inside of the brain........I think she got it just right. LOL.
That was my niece Ellie’s contribution - she began to explain as she drew but then the insides of her brain took over and the rest is hers alone to know!

This was a fun post Shaista, thank you for sharing it. I easpecially liked the bored panda. Made me chuckle... :-)
Oh I am sooooo glad you posted to this prompt! I most especially love the Bored Panda drawing...made me smile and smile and smile! Yes = it is so wonderful to have those visits --- I have some wonderful artwork from my grandchildren on my refrigerator - and I love sitting with them and drawing with them. Unbridled creativity! :)
The Bored Panda is a stroke of genius isn’t it? My sis Angelina is the credited artist for that one...

I like the idea of life as a treasure hunt, Shaista, and love the one I went on, looking at the adorable artwork you shared. How lovely that you have made a gallery of your nieces’ drawings! My favourites are 'Too many candles and not enough cake' and 'bored panda'. :)
There are several galleries of children’s art work around the house in various rooms, but to be fair Too Many Candles and Bored Panda were done by two artistic grown ups ๐ I love this Doodler pad! It was a Christmas gift, and just keeps giving joy ๐ฉ๐ป๐จ
Nice phrase: "tripping ahead"
Love the post my Shai. xxx
The children's art is adorable... I so wonder what they will say when they grow up about them
Oh, this is precious! Those little birds, and pandas. Great post.
...life does circle round!
I think it feels quite touching and poignant when we come across drawings we did as a little child... something innocent about our minds, or something revealing... either way it’s interesting for us as adults don’t you think?
Perfect words for this rotund Panda and yes, round and round we circle. I WAnt that Panda!
Your artwork reminds of my kids (now 9 and 5) who draw their thoughts hoping that they could help me in my pains. And I just couldn't help my self but to let the tears drop into my cheek.
I am inspired by this post of yours. Thank you.
